MyHUB an integrated workspace

The definition of innovation from a business perspective is; a deliberate application of information, imagination and initiative in deriving greater or different values from resources, and includes all processes by which new ideas generated and converted into useful products - The MyHUB by this definition embodies this. Early 2015 the Board of Directors instructed the Quality and Risk Committee to review the organisations Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and other peripheral software systems for relevancy and currency. Following a three-month review of existing software platforms, the Quality and Risk Committee reported to the Board that the current ERP software was disparent and would not service future growth. Furthermore, the Committee identified that the ERP required a growing number of pivot tables and Excel spreadsheets running reports that had become the front end of the ERP. After a 12-month process of researching for a modern ERP and HRIS, the Committee informed the board that to replace the existing system would cost the organisation $1.8 million with an annual subscription fee of $300K. The Board choose the bold move to invest $300K in Research and Development in creating a cloud-based platform leveraging the existing ERP SQL database (DB) that would become the ‘MyHUB’.
